This week we welcome Tina Kelly as our guest blogger. Tina Kelley is a reporter at the The New York Times, where she runs a new
blog for Maplewood, Millburn and South Orange, New Jersey. Her first book of poems, The Gospel of
Galore, (Word Press, 2003) won a Washington State Book Award. She is
looking for a publisher for her second collection, Slow Approach to a Bright
Loud Room. David Wagoner selected her poem "To Yahweh" for The Best American Poetry 2009. She won a fraction of a
Pulitzer Prize for being a part of the Times’ coverage of the Sept. 11
attacks, and wrote 121 “Portraits of Grief,” short descriptions of the victims.
