Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Rick Moody, David Lehman on Bob Dylan, and . . . Cher? Wednesday, January 19, 7-10 PM. 14th Street Y, 344 East 14th Street New York, NY 2011:

Loved David Lehman's response.
Right on the money... at least in my reading.
did I get it right?
Who knows? I got what I got and enjoyed it.

Rick Moody takes himself too seriously.
His judgmental attitude towards Cher is disgusting--- seriously? what does he actually know about the woman, the human being?

In fact his attitude about Dylan and the idea that he "knows" anything about Dylan as a multi-faceted man is ludicrous.

I'm a big Dylan fan and was so glad to see something Bob-related happening that I would be able to get to- but Moody's response was such a turn-off that rather than attending I'm going to use the money to download some Cher on ITunes- at least you can dance to her- what can you do with Rick Moody other than judge.

Perhaps Mr. Moody should read David Lehman's response- there is a mask waiting over there for him.

Moody says:
"I don't think she has sung a single meaningful song..."

Here Rick- there are more but you really should do your own research.

Honestly, your judgmental pronouncements make me feel contaminated.
