« A Broad, Abroad (installment the second) | Main | Poetic term of the day -- April 30, 2008 »

April 29, 2008

Hi, David - it is good to find your blog tonight, as I sit here thinking of Jason and Liam and Bennington (and you and Stacey, too), knowing how lucky I was to fall into that particular vortex. How can you thank people for breaking your life wide open? Can poetry matter? You betcher ass. Much love to you both, Laura

So good to hear from you, Laura, though the circumstances are sad. So many to mourn. Scary.
Fond memories of our days together. Do you remember when you were the star of your team in the game show finals?

How could I forget the one time in my life that my fund of useless literary facts brought me glory? What fun!! Speaking of fun (or funny), sitting at my desk right now I'm looking at a piece of paper you gave me way back when. I can't remember the context, but you wrote on it, "It was time for another nervous breakdown." It still makes me laugh when life get too wacko. xoxoxoxoxo
