« JA and JA at JA's Opening | Main | KGB Bar Monday Night Poetry This Fall »

September 08, 2008

I've read this several times before, and how anyone can claim that this is high art is beyond me. The imagery implies a less-than-healthy relationship between 'Pop' and the author. In 'Dreams from my Father', Obama tells a story about his Gramps and Frank taking him out to a night club with them. As the two men talked, smoked and drank (apparently to excess), little Barry spent his time blowing bubbles in his Coke while 'surrounded by pornographic Disney cartoons'. He shows no shock or disappointment about being subjected to such depravity. No wonder he surrounds himself with pedophiles, Marxists and Alinsky disciples. They are his people. Not Americans, not those who value freedom.

Agree 100%. Much less than healthy. So Gramps and mama overseas, subject the kid Obama to this? No wonder such an insincere actor with condescending speech, rather than a real president. Look where Mr. College Joint Smoker/Coke Experimenter hailed from!

Not healthy. Period.

Pitiful. Growing up, ANY child deserved better. All his protectors failed...but Grandma kept working away at jobs, supporting the family while his grandfather sat around telling stories & trying to be in with the sick Communist 'in-crowd'.

whatever. His objective was to bring the country to ruin, and to circumvent law, which he did.

Hilarious. Thank you!

Can't stop laughing.

Choked giggle.

Absolutely. You can be president, but not now.

Hear, Hear!

Remind me not to come into your workshop. Even if free, the cost would be too exorbitant...
