What a terrific moody shot. Where in Rome is it?

Thank you! It was taken at Porta Maggiore, a little ways more or less due east from the Colosseum. It's one of the bigger gates (hence the name), built by the Emperor Claudius and later made part of the Aurelian wall, but these days it's a good place to change trams to go to the teeny funky cineclub where we saw "The Philadelphia Story" and "It's a Wonderful Life" last night, and which is showing "The Maltese Falcon" and "Suspicion" tomorrow night. I'll see how the waning moon is then!
