George Green is a native of western Pennsylvania, who has lived for thirty years in a rent-stabilized apartment in the East Village. His work has appeared in various journals and in the anthologies Poetry 180; 180 More Poems; The Best American Poetry 2005; and The Best American Poetry 2006. He has poems in the forthcoming Swallow Anthology of New American Poets, and in Bright Wings, a Columbia anthology of bird poems illustrated by David Sibley.
Billy Collins is the author of eight books of poetry including Ballistics, The Trouble with Poetry and Other Poems, Nine Horses, Picnic, Lightning, and Sailing Alone Around the Room. A Distinguished Professor of English at Lehman College (CUNY), he served as United States Poet Laureate 2001-2003 and New York State Poet Laureate 2004-2006.
