One of the most heartbreaking moments of my life was when my mother, as we were watching an episode of "McMillan and Wife," told me Rock Hudson was gay. I was twelve and had a huge crush on him.

I love that final scene. It was the sensitivity, the giving a damn that won Taylor. Great article!
