I agree, we do make huge mistakes in perception. However, bombing for peace is more a mistake in reasoning than in perception.

Roy Zimmerman's 2004 album "Security" has a great song about "fighting a war for peace" titled: "F*cking for Chasity"

A little more than 25 years ago, First day in a college history course, the teacher asked us to "define America [dramatic pause] don't mention Russia". It was a neat trick and has always kept me thinking about the perception and how we think about things.
