Thanks for re-posting the Gilbert-on-Ammons material. I must've missed them the first go-around. Any word on when Gilbert's biography of Ammons is going to be out? Just curious. Thanks.

John, Thanks for writing. These posts by Roger Gilbert are so terrific, they needed to be brought out from the archives. I don't know the status of the biography but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

John, we are going to re-post this particular post to correct the technical glitches that are running the poetry and prose together in a heap. I am passing along your compliments to Roger Gilbert, who is working hard on the bio. A piece of his appears in a recent "Chicago Review" (Summer / Autumn 2012) devoted entirely to Archie. -- DL
