This week we welcome back Tina Kelley as our guest blogger. Tina Kelley’s second
collection of poetry, Precise, was published by Word Press in January
2013. She is the co-author of Almost
Home: Helping Kids Move from Homelessness to Hope, a nationally best-selling book about
six homeless young people and the forces that sent them to the street,
published by Wiley in October 2012. She was a reporter at The New York Times for ten years, shared in a Pulitzer Prize in Public
Service Journalism for being a part of the Times’
coverage of the Sept. 11 attacks, and wrote 121 “Portraits of Grief,” short
descriptions of the victims. Her
first book of poems, The
Gospel of Galore, (Word
Press, 2003) won a Washington State Book Award. She is on the staff of Covenant
