« Inside the First Cover of Bohemian Rhapsody: An Interview with Tony Rivers [by Daniel Nester] | Main | Some Words on 'Some Words on My Hatred of Cheese' c. 1991 [by Daniel Nester] »

Thank you for this. I was on an Armatrading jag for a long time and I just had to play "I'm Lucky." I had forgotten about the great synthesizer opening and how lovely and clear her voice is.

Thanks, Stacey. I go on Joan jags for weeks at a time. 'Lucky' is such a super song.

Such a great piece about Joan. To me, despite all her accolades, she still doesn't quite manage to gain the recognition she deserves.
The Weakness in Me is one of my favourite tracks - don't a few of us have that old lover who really has captured our hearts even when we've moved on?
