Dear Reader,
It's been a little over a year since I last wrote. Winter has insinuated itself into Berlin, that time of year when we all give a collective sigh over the 4 pm sunsets. What better time to reflect on what's poetic about the city?
This week, I'll be writing daily letters from the city I call home, about recent cultural experiences that have moved and engaged me. But first, I'd like to introduce our resident DJ for the week, the poet Rodney Wilhite, who brings his encyclopedic music knowledge to bear on this exchange. Because, well—anything Berlin-related needs a DJ.
Yours, Kathleen
