This week we welcome back Vincent Katz as our guest author.Vincent Katz is a poet and translator. He is the author, most recently, of the books of poems Southness and Swimming Home. His book of translations, The Complete Elegies of Sextus Propertius was published by Princeton University Press in 2004, and he is currently translating Hesiod’s poems Theogony and Works and Days. Katz is the curator of the “Readings in Contemporary Poetry” series at Dia:Chelsea and the editor of the Readings in Contemporary Poetry anthology. Raphael Rubinstein has characterized Katz as “A 21st-century flâneur whose wanderings range from the sidewalks and subways of New York City to the crowded beaches of Rio de Janeiro.” Thomas Fink’s interview with Vincent Katz on his book Southness can be read here.
