Susan E. Gunter is a professor, Henry James scholar, poet, and watercolor artist. She began painting eight years ago, working from her own photographs and using just three colors: Windsor blue, alizarin crimson, and cadmium yellow. The paintings attempt to capture vanishing moments and preserve them. She has studied photography and art at Allegheny College, Santa Rosa Junior College, and with Allis Teagarten. Her website:
