This gave me chills. Anne's voice is so human, and it is a reminder to be vigilant when we see the same fascist parties erupt in our democracy.

A very moving story. You are lucky to have had her in your life for so long.

That is a very moving and powerful story about your mother, David. I'm so glad to have been your neighbor back in the early days and had the opportunity to know your parents and family.
Happy it all worked out, as best as could be, for your mom during those tumultuous and treacherous war years. She was a super wonderful person.

An unbelievable, wrenching, emotional-roller-coaster-of-a-ride story. I wish I had known this, focused more on her, the time(s) I met her. Amazing,

Thank you for sharing your mother's story David. The challenges people had to face in those times are incomprehensible to me. Your mother was a very kind and strong woman! Xx

Thank you all -- Barbara, Joel, Terence, Bill, Vincent -- for the warm comments.
