Late December Sunday. Low south sun
shines deep into the house, stooping
to give a little light, a little warmth.
Late life lover, quiet, bending
to look into my eyes and read remaining dreams,
to quicken what you can, and rock the rest to sleep.
Thank you for warmth and light, for loving me
this late December Sunday.

Beautiful and sweet. Glimmer of light in a dismal season.
