I think "Rear Window" is one of the best movies ever made.

I agree, LO. On top of everything else (the beautiful Grace, the sardonic Thelma Ritter), "Rear Window" is a movie about movies -- Miss Lonelyhearts is a soap opera, Miss Torso a comedy, the Pianist a musical, Lars Thorwald a murder mystery etc: voyeurism, ours as well as Jimmy Stewart's.

I agree too and it has what I consider to be one of the sexiest movie scenes: Grace Kelly opens her tiny overnight bag and a puff of point d'esprit lingerie pops out.

I agree Stacey---and also to be admired 1954's 'Dial M for Murder', and Grace Kelly's perfect wardrobe compliments of Edith Head, I think. And I just learned Alfred and I share the same birthday--

Great to share a birthday with Hitch, Amy. Hope you had a happy one. And yes, Grace Kelly's wardrobe. And how about the moment in "Rear Window" when she has an elegant four-star restaurant meal wheeled in for grouchy invalid Jimmy Stewart. Just what's wrong with him anyway that he keeps looking out the window when the model of perfection (Harper's Bazaar) lurks within his grasp?

Exactly! And would you know by sheer coincidence I rented 'Dial M for Murder' yesterday afternoon? Uncanny!

I absolutely loved this article! You did a wonderful job!

Great discussion here about "Hitch"!!

Thank you! DL

Glad you liked it! DL

This article beautifully illustrates the fascinating connection between Alfred Hitchcock's art and the influence of astrology. It's fascinating to see how subtly celestial alignments could shape his creative genius. The celestial tapestry adds a layer of mystery to Hitchcock's extraordinary story. Super lecture!
