Hanukkah ca. 1960 [by Lewis Saul]

There I am stage right with older sister Wendy; and Lynn (z'l) and little bro, Alan.

It looks like I got some kind of game -- but it was Lynn who knew what I really wanted.

A Hanukkah or two after this pic, she got me the Nine Beethoven symphonies scores, which was the greatest present anyone's ever given me. By the time I was 11 or 12, I had committed most of the music to memory.

I look over my studio today, and there are scores everywhere! Thanks, Lynn for starting me on this fabulous eternal journey.
