Yes, John and Elizabeth and what Charles North calls the New York School humor and surprise, as in Pierre Martory's first person "Prose de Buttes-Chaumont" in JA's translation:

I give you Paris its parts of eyes its hearts
Each as big as a boxer's fist.
Listen: they're synchronizing their heartbeats
In the hum of silence.
I give you--adding speech to speech--
The billions of words pronounced at this instant.
Look: a single liquid crystal and it's your name.
