Bravo, David! I likewise admire Bobby Darin's rendition of "Beyond the Sea" and, perhaps more famously, his rendition of "Mack the Knife." I also rank “Artificial Flowers” among his best recorded vocal performances. It’s a sober lyric that, through Darin’s distinctive singing style, swings musically. That’s not an easy feat to achieve.
