I so love this poem, its breathless quality, and I love the book it's from, and, as always, I love Angela's exquisite insights.

I remember so many things you left out but i know you remember much of what i remember because you, David, have a great memory.

David’s voice in his poems is like the tempo in a Mahler symphony— it takes you to the height of knowledge a gives you the intimacy of understanding.

You've got a typo sensei:
"he takes of his shoes" > "he takes off his shoes"

Great poem.
