Cardinal Zen took me under his wing.
Chicago-born Leo XIV beat the odds
fourteen to one in Vegas defeating
the Italian candidate, the hot favorite,
but remember the old conclave saw
"who enters as pope exits as cardinal."
As for Leo XIV, he is against
the state of "de facto atheism";
wears a red velvet cape
and ornate stole; roots for
the White Sox,
which shows he has faith.

Beatrice, my all-time favorite "Ascension" is by Hans Süss von Kulmbach (1513). All you see of Jesus is his dirty feet as they disappear into the clouds while his followers, obviously on drugs, gaze upwards in awe. Really, you've got to check this out.
